Ephesians
Oct 2019 - Nov 2019

Living in London for almost 10 years, I got to enjoy taking people on the London Eye when they came to visit. It’s like a giant ferris wheel on the banks of the River Thames, and offers a brilliant view of London. From Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament just down below, across to Buckingham Palace, and Hyde Park and St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower Bridge it’s a great view of London.
The letter to the Ephesians is a bit like that alongside the rest of Paul’s letters. It isn’t the longest letter, but it offers a magnificent view of the landscape of Christ and his people as Paul sees it. As we go through it, we find one theme after another that is central to Christianity; God, the world, Jesus, the church, the means of salvation, Christian living, marriage, family, work, spiritual warfare. There is so much there for us to take in, and it’s worth our attention.
Some of you may have read Ephesians many times, and feel like you know it well, and maybe you subconsciously go into cruise mode. I want to urge you to resist that temptation; God means to show himself to us now as we come to his Word afresh. Let’s set ourselves to receive what he has for us, and co-operate with Him in what he wants to do in our lives and in our church community.

Life Giving Rhythms
Aug 2019 - Sep 2019

Our ultimate goal and calling in life is to grow up into full maturity as a follower of Jesus Christ. This end pursuit doesn’t just happen by chance, but because of a conscious or deliberate decision to engage in some life-giving rhythms that keep us moving in a positive direction.

Never Give Up
Jul 2019

As followers of Jesus, we have a faith that tells us to keep on getting up, to keep on moving ahead and to keep on enduring all things because we believe that God is doing something even when we might not be able to see it for ourselves. In this series we will learn some key principles for never giving up on our marriage, our friendships with one another and most importantly, our relationship with God.

Never Give up - on your marriage, on your relationships, on God.

A God for the mess of life.
Apr 2019 - Jun 2019

Life can be messy at times. Sometime this mess is the direct result of some poor personal choices and yet on other occasions it comes about through no direct fault of our own. Where is God in the midst of this? As we look at the unfoldingstory of Israel in 1 Samuel we discover that God does some of his best work in our lives in the midst of the mess.

Mar 2019 - Apr 2019

Sounds of Summer (2019)
Dec 2018 - Jan 2019

Hot days and warms nights; something we often associate with summer, but summer is more than that: it is time for family, friends and fun; it is relaxing, rewinding and refreshing and sounds different to the rest of the year; it's time for connecting and reconnecting. We love summer at BBC - the summer gives us the opportunity to give some of our local folk the opportunity to share the pulpit and to give us a different perspective on God and His work in the community, both locally and abroad as we seek to be and make disciples in the ordinary stuff of life.

Feel free to join us and connect.

The Christmas Album (Christmas 2018)
Dec 2018

The Christmas Album

Music has always formed a huge part of the Christmas story. Not just in recent years but also in the events of that very first Christmas. If you read through the scriptures, you’ll find that oftentimes when someone was hearing or sharing the good news about Jesus that a song was sung. This year we take the opportunity to look at some of the original songs from that very first Christmas Album

Dec 16 - Angels’ Song

Dec 23 - Zechariahs’ Song

Dec 24 / 25 - Angel’s Song

A Prayer for all times
Nov 2018 - Dec 2018

Each of us face pivotal moments in life that sometimes leaves us looking to the left or the right and wondering which way we should turn. A pivotal moment might involve a significant decision, an uncertain future or a difficult circumstance. In this series, Jesus teaches us to stop looking at the mountain in front of us and start looking up to the mountain-mover - our Heavenly Father - in our time of need.
